12/18 @ Broadway

Out in Amityville there is more than just an urban myth. There's a whole-lotta rock to go with it as Broadway opens its stage to local bands.

Last night Silent Fate, Reborn in Chaos, and Piercing Silence all took the stage for this show. And a sick show it was. Things got started a little late, but the crowd didn't seem to mind. With some good drink specials on the board and awesome people to hang out with, the time seemed to fly while the bands got ready to play.

Up first was Reborn in Choas, and the place started moving the second they started up. These guys were hard. So hard that the drummer AJ actually broke through his snare by the end of the first song. Booyah AJ, that was sick.

After the first set I needed a drink, and being the not-so-drink-savvy punk that I am, I had to ask the bartender for an opinion. The bartender was the shit and got me some lemon drop shots, and then tequila sunrise both on special.

Next time you are in there say what's up to Cory. He's the man.

The other bands were also awesome. There is so much room on the floor, there was plenty of room for pit to rage on. I don't remember one song that was played last night that didn't have people tapping their toes or banging their heads.

The bar used to be the Village Pub South, but is now Broadway. And it was my first time being there ever, and I was impressed. They provide a decently sized stage for their performers, and even more space for the audience. The stage is in another room from the bar, separated only by a railing and a couple of stairs.

So the night was great. Everybody was having a good time, and the venue gets an A.

Check out the pictures, till next show, peace out.
