12/27 @ Beery's

So Mr. Beery's has live music every Friday and Saturday, and the bands are almost always really good.

And last night it was nothing different. It was a punk theme with all the bands, and they all rocked. I got to hang out with Roy the lead singer of Halfway to Hell Club in the beginning of the night, and he was telling me how awesome the shows were going to be.

And indeed they were.

The other bands that were present on this night were Jonesin, Up In Arms, Rebel Dead, and Quarterlife Crisis. All the bands were sick. The crowd was awesome too. And then I saw the connection. These guys were mad cool to hang out with. Each of the guys I spoke to, like Jarett the lead vocals and guitar, had such a passion for what they were there to do, which was rock the house. They are really loyal to their fans, and love to party it up with them.

There was free beer for an hour, people filling up every small space at the bar, even a beer bong being used on stage. People were moving around the floor and even getting on stage with the bands, everyone was in good spirits.

And to my great suprise I was introduced to the owner, Mr. Beery himself. It's really cool to see the man behind it all come down to see how everyone is doing. Also photographer, band promoter, and owner of Ball and Chain Records Brett was there taking pictures and drinking with all of us. If you are looking for someone to book your shows here on Long Island, you should stop by his website and check it out. He has some really good bands up there.

So all and all, it was a good night Check out pictures here, and stay tuned for more updates!

peace.
